Three Bulgarian ladies have been nominated for this year?s Nobel Peace Prizes awards, as reported by Ass. Prof. Dr. Todorka Popova, Chairman of the ?Women in Science? National Association Managing Board. They are as follows:

•  Ass. Porf. Dr. Liliana Vulcheva, Chairman of the Higher Education and Science Trade Union, lecturer at the Univerity of Forestry, Sofia 
• Prof. Ivanka Lecheva, Chairman of the ?Women in Science? Club at the Plovdiv Agriculture University, Faculty Dean at the Plovdiv Agriculture University 
• Genoveva Tisheva, Lawyer, Manаger of the Bulgarian Gender Research Foundation 

 The ?1000 Women for Nobel Peace Prizes 2005? Project has been initiated by Mr. Ruth-Gabi Vermont Mangold, official representative for Switzerland at the EC. The project aimed at nominating 1000 ladies from all over the world for the prize this tear when the 100^th anniversary of the first woman winning Nobel Prize, the Austrian Countess Berta von Suttner (the photo), is being celebrated.
