A new gallery exhibiting 16 eminent Bulgarian artists opened in Plovdiv yesterday. At 7 pm the art-salon ?Apollinaire?, at 37 Otets Paisii Str., received its first guests. The owners, the spouses Vasya and Nedyalko Slavovi, have gathered an impressive exhibition with exceptional paintings and sculptures by friends of theirs from all over Bulgaria. "The Apollinaire gallery is an old dream of ours, we implied so much love in it, it is part of our home. We would like the gallery to radiate even a tiny piece of the Paris atmosphere. The architecture of the house evokes similar mood? We will try to host different types of art in our art-salon: painting, poetry, music, theatre?? is the opinion of the artistic family.
Both of them are great admirers of the eminent French poet Guillaume Apollinaire, who was the inspiration for the name of the gallery. And just as capturing and versatile as his poetry is, so the exhibition openings are planned to be ? non-standard, emotional, provocative, with a wink, but making both authors and guests, feel at home. The first exhibition will be a "holiday present" for all the citizens of Plovdiv. All the authors have made large discounts on pieces of art exhibited there. Among the painters participating in the exhibition you could see Dimiter Kirov, Iliana Doncheva, Vihroni Popnedelev, Gredi Assa, Svilen Blazhev, Stanimir Videv, Ivan Milev, Atanas Hranov, Angel Vassilev, Nusha Goeva, Nikolay Kouchkov, Nedko Itinov, Roumen Zhekov, as well as the sculptors Hristo Haralampiev and Kiril Naydenov.
