These were the words of the European Amateur Boxing Assiociation, EABA, Edward Husainov (Russia). He even sought the approval of the Plovdiv International Fair Director, Yordan Radev, for organizing the World Boxing Championship 2008 there…

Bulgaria took the second place of medals won at the European championship – following Russia closely with the gold medal of Boris georgiev, the silver ones of Spas genov and Detelin Dalakliev and the bronze ones of Kubrat Poulev and Alexsey Shaydoulin. The team of Ukraine took third place in medals.
