The ferris wheel was invented 385 years ago in Plovdiv, according to the German radio station Deutchlandfunk. According to the authors, it was first installed at a fair in Plovdiv on May 17th, 1620 ? first as an entertainment for adults, not for kids. Later it turned out that it was safe enough for kids to use it for pleasure?
