Plovdiv has two schools named after the holy brothers – one elementary and middle school, and one high school. Both have already organized their special celebrations for the occasion of the Day of St Cyril and St Methodius – May 11th. The holy brothers will also be commemorated on May 24, celebrated as the Day of BG Literacy and Culture.
Both schools have scheduled floral tributes to the bas-relief of the holy brothers at Suborna Street in the Old Town of Plovdiv with a festive parade of the students, followed by concerts dedicated to St Cyril and St Methodius.
