More than 300 people took part in the 30-minute walk in the pedestrian alleys of the Rowing Canal complex, on the occasion of the World Day of Fighting the Diabetes. That initiative (organised by the World Diabetes Foundation and the Nova Nordix Pharmaceuticals) was organised to run simultaneously in 50 countries all around the world and was an attempt to beat the Guiness World Record for organised walk. All the participants in that event received diplomas and baloons, and the kids got new hats.
"Our main goal is to help the people suffering from thast disease, and especially the kids, by attracting attention to their problems..." said Elisaveta Kotova from the Association "Sheherazada - the wonder world of children with daibetes".
