Plovdiv is about to become the center of electronics production – the production of electronic components has started around the year of 2000, based on foreign investments mainly. Almost 100% of the production has been exported abroad.
The Sentera Trakia company, created with Belgium capital, has bought a terrain of 7,000 sq.m. in the village of Voyvodinovo, in close proximity to Plovdiv, to biuld a large factory. The village has slowly turning into a part of Plovdiv, even connected with Plovdiv public transportation system… The company has been producing transformers, transforming and electronic controllers. "The products are not just produced here – thbey have been constructed here, in Plovdiv", reported the company’s Financial Manager, Milen Chonchev.
