1500 army employees as well as civilians are taking part in the major NATO live-flying exercise Cooperative Key 2005, which opened yesterday, August 25th, at the Graf Ignatievo Air Base outside Plovdiv.
30 countries, 14 of which are NATO member countries are taking part in the exercise ? eight of them participate in the Partnership for Peace Program; five are watching countries and three are Mediterranean Dialogue nations.
22 helicopters, 9 transportation planes, 2 AWAX and 35 combat planes are taking part in the live-flying exercise.
