Bulgaria’s Antoaneta Stefanova grabbed the gold in the women's rapid chess event at the World Mind Sports Games at Beijing on Wednesday.
The 29-year-old Bulgarian played against Chinese Zhao Xue. The former world champion will bring home two medals after winning earlier the bronze in the blitz tournament.
Antoaneta, who was also conferred the title of "Chess Beauty", made the best performance for Bulgaria at this display of mental strength and intelligence and secured the third spot for her country in the general ranking.
