Bulgaria will be granted EUR 26m by PHARE 2006 - I, the approval of the second part will be this October. The programme managing committee held a session in Brussels, it includes representatives of the member countries and the European Commission, its main function is exercising control over the programme. The committee is to take a decision on every financial proposal based on the projects themselves as well as the achieved progress of the pre-accession countries. The national programme includes eight project fiches guaranteeing financing in the fields of justice and interior affairs, economic and social cohesion, democracy and social integration, harmonization of the Bulgarian legislation with the European law in the field of the transport.
