Bulgarian archeologists discovered yet another exceptional treasure. The archaeologists of the National Museum of History unearthed a tomb of a Thracian king near the village of Zlatinitsa (southeastern Bulgaria), said Museum's director Prof. Bozhidar Dimitrov. They found numerous burial artifacts, among them a gold tiara, silver knee-pieces, decorated with mythological motifs, tens of gold, silver and bronze vessels, a gold cross, inlaid horse harness.

Zlatinitsa. The Thracian king was buried together with his favorite animals, two horses and a big dog. The excavations were financed by "Horizon" European foundation. Recently, the Bulgarian archaeologists hit upon the entrance leading to an ancient Thracian temple near the village of Tatul (southeastern Bulgaria). Head of the expedition, Prof. Nikolay Ovcharov, believes that the legendary musician Orpheus could be buried in this temple.
Further research will start off this week to find out if the assumption is right.
