Based on the idea of the Trakia Area Mayor, Slavcho Atanassov, and the Plovdiv Section of the VMRO Organizaton, a monument of Khan Krum is going to be erected in the Trakia Housing Area in Plovdiv. It is going to be a granite monument, made of the stone pieces dug out of the Markovo Tepe Hill. The funds for erecting such a monument are going o be raised by donations of private individuals as well as Plovdiv organizations and companies.
