Dimiter Zograph was brother of the famous icon-painter Zahari Zograph of the Samokov School. Born in the town of Samokov in 1796. Icon and mural painter.

He worked a lot in Plovdiv. He painted all the iconostase icons and murals of the central vault of the St. Nedelya church in the Old Town of Plovdiv, with the help of his son, the eminent painter Stanislav Dospevski.

He also painted the large icon named "The Archangel Council" (dated 1836), painted for the St.Holy Virgin Church in the Old Town of Plovdiv, which is exhibitied today in the plovdiv City Art Gallery.
