The establishment of the unique and only of the kind in Bulgaria Museum of the Bagpipes is one of the most attractive ideas in the pre-election campaign of Dancho Kiryakov, nominee for the post of Smolyan's mayor and incumbent mayor of Smolyan. Save for an exposition of different kinds of musical instruments and accessories there will be audio-boxes in the museum, too. There everyone who likes could listen to the best performances of the Bulgarian virtuoso-bagpipers. In special workshops the visitors will have the opportunity to observe the process of production of the instruments. The idea is the original museum to become one of the tourist's attractions in Smolyan.
