This great feast Velikden (i.e. Easter in BG) is also known as Veliden, Vliden, Vazkresenie Hristovo. This is the Sunday after the first springtime full moon; one of the greatest springtime holidays, lasting for three days. Its place in the calendar coincides with the rebirth and flowering of Nature, with the triumph of Sun and of Life.
