Eminent man of law, journalist and public figure, Nedko Kableshkov is the pioneer of donating in Plovdiv. In 1949 he made a large donation of ethnographic items to the Municipal Museum, part of which later laid the foundation of the Plovdiv <st1:placename w:st="'on'">Ethnographic Museum, with the then-opened and exhibited Koprivshtitsa Room.

Nedko Kableshkov was the initiator for erecting a monument to commemorate those who lost their lives in the wars, as well as erecting in Plovdiv a monument of the Unification. He was the president of the charity home Koudouglou for more than 18 years, also the Chairman of the Union of Plovdiv Journalists for 10 years, and an honorary member of the “Hristo Botev” Sports Club. Nedko Kableshkov fought  long for the cause of opening a University in Plovdiv, demonstrating in various ways the the “state turned into Plovdiv’s step mother”…

He was the attorney of Plovdiv’s Jewish community, their defender and friend, who really contributed to the saving of their lives in 1943.
