The archaeologist Dr Ivo Topalilov’s team excavations in the Old Town uncovered remains of the Chalukov School as well as remains of a Holy Land convent on top of a late Middle Ages church, necropolis and another massive ancient building. The excavations take place at the Suborna St, right at the foot of the new art gallery.
