Members of the management team of the CSKA Football Club have had preliminary talks to the idol of all football fans in Bulgaria ? Hristo Stoichkov. Reportedly, he is coming back to him hometown, Plovdiv, for Christmas. The CSKA management is ready to offer Stoichkov a top position in the club. He is expected to take the position of leading manager as well as a coach of the Bulgarian football champions. He is expected for negotiations in Sofia in late December, around Christmas. The 1994 Golden Ball owner is expected to come back to Bulgaria for a week. So far there is no clear information about his attitude towards CSKA?s intentions. At the moment, the famous football player, currently living in USA, is busy in the playoffs in MLC. The team he plays for, DC United, is about to drop from the eliminations, after losing 0:2 from Chicago. Stoichkov?s contract with the Washington DC team ends that season.It is a well-known secret that Stoichkov is in no hurry, since he expects two more options for a coach career coming ? first, he might take his current club, DC United, but he also could start as a coach of the Barcelona youth team, if Johan Creyf accepts the offer to work once again on the Nou Camp Stadium. So far Stoichkov had returned to CSKA, but it was as a player. In the early spring of 1998 he joined the CSKA team just released from the Barcelona team. But he missed a significant part of that season, since he participated in the Al Nassr team for the Asia Cup Final.
