March 11 the Orthodox Church commemorates St. Sofronij Vrachanski - the second in its importance key figure of the early Revival Period in Bulgaria. He was the last BG saint to be canonized by the church - in 1964.
He was born in the town of Kotel in 1739. He made two manual copies of the "Slavonic-Bulgarian History", written by Paisij Hilendarski. He was laso popular as the author of the autobiography book "Life and Sufferings of Sofronij the Sinner". He died in Bucharest (Romania) in 1813.
