September ? the month of cultural events in Plovdiv

The first item of news is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the great artist Zlatuy Boyadzhiev, which will be celebrated today, at 7 pm, at the George Papazov Gallery, with an exhibition displaying some very interesting drawings from the period before the 1940 (most of which have never been displayed in audience), as well as some oil paintings. The exhibition was collected with the cooperation of the artist?s heirs, and mostly his son, the artist Georgi Boyadzhiev. The citizens and guests of Plovdiv will be able to enjoy that exhibition until September 23rd. Around that time, the album containing reproductions of the displayed paintings will be ready and presented to the audience, thanks to the cooperation of the Rhodopes Municipality and some private sponsors.
Among the other cultural news are the following:
? Ekaterina Pileva displays paintings in an exhibition organized in the Ethnographic Museum. The opening is tonight at 5.30 pm.
? Nikola Vichev is opening an exhibition in the lobby of the City Culture Centre, tonight at 6 pm.
?  Kiro Mavrov Vichev is opening an exhibition of his paintings in the Lucas Gallery, which also is the event opening the new season for the gallery.
? Tonight, at 6 pm, in the exhibition hall of the Association of the Plovdiv Artists, the traditional exhibition ?15 x 5? will be opened.
? Tonight at 6 pm, in the Nedkovich House, the latest book of Roumiana Stoeva ? Titeryakova (a tour-guide with more than 30 years of experience) called ?Plovdiv - Ancient and Eternal? will be officially presented to the audience. According to the author of this book, she has tried to collect all the information available regarding the miracle called Plovdiv, as well as other places such as Hissar, Starosel, Assenovgrad, Krastova Gora, Belentash and many others?
