Real estate agents report a significant raise in property interest in the Old Town – in the area around Hissar Kapia Gate, which is the very heart of this architectural preserved area, the price of a sq.m. has reached 900 to 1,000 Euro.
The list of potential buyers includes Swiss, Danish, French, Dutch and British clients. According to real estate agents, they mostly want to buy property for their company offices. Bulgarians, though, buy property there to build homes.
Most of the old houses bought in the Old Town have already been thoroughly renovated. Terrain of 210 sq.m., with an old building that is about to be demolished, can be bought now for 85,000 Euro.
