Surface: Clay, outdoors
Dates: 18-21 April 2007
Nations: 16. Sixteen teams drawn into four round-robin pools of four teams. Draw for round-robin groups takes place the day before play starts.

Final Round-Robin Standings:

Pool A: 1. Romania, 2. Switzerland, 3. Denmark, 4. Netherlands
Pool B: 1. Ukraine, 2. Belarus, 3. Hungary, 4. Lithuania
Pool C: 1. Serbia, 2. Slovenia, 3. Sweden, 4. Estonia
Pool D: 1. Poland, 2. Luxembourg, 3.Great Britain, 4. Bulgaria

The winners of each pool will play-off to decide which two nations will be promoted to the World Group II Play-offs in July 2007. The nations in last position in each pool will play-off to decide which two nations will be relegated to Group II in 2008.
