Bulgarian Defence Minister and high ranking army officers flew to Iraq to meet our peace-keeping battalion and the injured Bulgarian soldiers in the hospitals of Karbala, Babyl and Baghdad, and to collect the bodies of Captain Georgi Kachorin, Senior Sergeant Ivan Indzhov, Junior Sergeant Anton Petrov, Private Svilen Kirov and  Lieutenant Nikolay Saraev, who will be buried with military honours.
 
Tuesday, December 30th, was declared to be a Day of National Mourning.
