Мъченици Адриан и Наталия

На 26 август православната църква почита паметта на светите мъченици Адриан и Наталия. Те живели по времето на император Максимиан, който извършвал жестоки гонения срещу християните. Веднъж свети Адриан, който бил близък с императора, присъствал на мъчения на християни.

Впечатлен от силата на тяхната вяра, той решил да стане християнин. Съпругата му Наталия когато разбрала за решението на Адриан била много щастлива. Императорът хванал Адриан и с жестоки мъчения се опитал да го откаже от новата религия. Мъченикът обаче не се отказал и напуснал този свят като християнин. За това на този ден празнуват всички, които носят имената на светците Адриан и Наталия.
